How long will I be able to enjoy my jewelry? What should I do if it breaks?
I guarantee the quality of the jewelry for 6 months, meaning that if it should break do to normal wear and tear before then I will replace it with the same product or something of equal value (if the same product is no longer available). I will not replace items that have not been cared for properly.
I fully expect you to be able to enjoy your pieces well beyond 6 months! If you treat them right, they will treat you right! Avoid water and harsh conditions, store in a cool dry place away from any dangers (i.e. avoid storing them at the bottom of your purse or sock drawer and you should be good, ha)! Please be sure to never allow small children to wear or handle your pieces.
What is the best way to care for my jewelry?
I use a few different elements in my pieces, but over-all just be sure to handle your pieces gently and store them appropriately (out of direct sunlight, away from moisture etc.).
For pieces containing:
- Brass- Brass is a raw material and should be treated with care to avoid damage. Avoid exposure to oils, chemicals & perfumes. If it tarnishes, try wiping with a jewelry cleaning wipe.
- Polymer Clay- Avoid wearing with clothing that easily transfers it's dye, as polymer is sturdy but is also porous and can scuff. If this happens, try taking a baby wipe or some rubbing alcohol to clean the clay. Avoid using rubbing alcohol on foiled pieces. Clay that has been painted or foiled will be sealed with a clear coat and alcohol can diminish this coating.
- Leather- Avoid harsh sunlight and moisture. The more you wear pieces containing leather, the softer the leather will get over time.
- Tassels- Avoid harsh sunlight and moisture.
- Adhesive- Avoid harsh sunlight and moisture.
What is polymer clay?
Polymer clay is a type of plastic-based molding clay that hardens when exposed to heat. It typically contains no clay minerals, but like mineral clay a liquid is added to a dry material until it has a soft workable consistency.
Polymer clay is generally used for arts and crafts projects, but is also used commercially to make decorative items. Art projects made from polymer clay can now be found in major museums around the world.
Is it heavy?
It may come as a surprise, but no! The pieces are generally as light as, or lighter, than most costume jewelry you'd find on the market today. Once baked, polymer is a hard & lightweight material.
I see that each piece is unique, can I choose the piece that I want?
Yes, unless demand is high and/or inventory is low. Though each of the pieces in my collections are very similar, they are all unique. When placing your order please note at checkout that you would like to choose your piece.
If I have more than one of the item that you'd like in stock, I will email you the options and you can choose which one you'd like. If I only have one, I will email you a picture to assure you are happy with your order.
Do you use hypoallergenic metals?
All earring posts are stainless steel (silver posts) or high quality plated metal (gold posts). Other elements are either plated metal, or brass. These elements do not usually touch skin, apart from the necklace clasps.
Can I place a discounted wholesale order?
Absolutely! If you'd like to order 12 or more pieces, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to chat about your discounted wholesale order.
Please note that unless inventory is high enough, wholesale orders could take up to 10 business days to manufacture and ship out. This is because all of my products are made by hand (with love of course).
When can I expect to receive my order?
Making these polymer goodies is my side hustle. I work a full time job during the week, but I will do my best to ship out your order within two business days! If you order on a weekend, it will ship out the following Monday.
Can I send an order as a gift?
Yes! Please enter the recipient's address information at checkout. Leave a message at checkout or email me at email@example.com letting me know that it is a gift and what the occasion is so that I can include a note with the gift!
Do you accept returns and/or exchanges?
I accept returns and exchanges conditionally. I will exchange an item that is defective or broken due to creation issues for up to 6 months after purchasing. The defective item will be replaced by something of equal value.
I will replace any items that arrive broken if notified within 24 hours of delivery.
I will not accept returns on any other orders, but will gladly exchange them for something else of equal value up to 10 days after ordering. Return shipping will be at your expense. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to let me know you'd like an exchange. Once I receive the order back and inspect it, I will start the exchange process.
